I dropped off 8 point antlered deer on Saturday October 6th, 2018 for shoulder mount. I paid $245 (half of total cost for mount) on October 17th, 2018 and was informed it would be ready for pick-up in one year (October 2019). I called business in October 2019 to pick-up deer mount and was informed it would not be ready until February 2020. I informed the business that was unacceptable and would like a refund and return of deer so I could take it somewhere else to mount. Business insisted that it would be ready in February 2020. I reluctantly agreed I would wait until February.
I called business in February 2020 to pick-up deer mount and was informed it would not be ready until June 2020. I again informed the business this was unacceptable and asked for a refund and return of deer so I could take it somewhere else to mount. Business insisted that it would definitely be ready in August 2020 and they did not want to refund the deposit money or return the deer. I reluctantly agreed to wait until August but informed the business that was the last time I would agree and it had to be ready for pick-up by the end of August 2020. I called business in August 2020 and was informed that they had to move other customers in front of me due to the other customers were getting upset.
I told the young man on the phone I wanted to speak to the owner. The owner, Scott, called me right back and apologized for his son’s comments and personally promised me he had the form ordered and would have the deer mount to me by the end of bow season (October 2020). I called the business on October 31st, 2020 to pick-up deer mount and was informed by a young lady that it was still not ready and no deer mounts would be done until next February. I explained that I had already spoken with Scott and I wanted to speak with him. I called back and Scott informed me that he was sorry about the broken promise but still refused to refund the deposit or provide the deer head/ antlers.
