Hawaii State Department Of Taxation

Literally had 3 calls in front of mine for 13 minutes and once there were no calls, it rang and rang for another 15 minutes putting me at a wait time of 28 minutes…

I finally speak to someone who is very nice but couldn’t help me at all. First, she said they didn’t have my return but then I even explained online says it’s received and I’m following up to make sure everything is in order – she finally agreed they have it after putting me on silent hold another 7 minutes.

She said there’s some discrepancy w/the return & I should’ve read correspondence but I didn’t so I asked what it was and could she tell me what I need to do…she said no – she would need to put me back to the main line for me to press 3 then 0 and talk to someone else????

WHAT??? Are you serious…so this is what she did – now there were 13 calls ahead of mine. I hung up. Not sure what to do now. No regard for others time – they need better communications on the accounts – if I didn’t receive correspondence, regenerate it or something??

How can they not answer my questions and then put me back in the queue? Very frustrating. They obviously need to hire more employees as well.

Beauty Regime

I have never been more uncomfortable or experienced such attitude from a “professional” in my life. My advice, never go there. I called to inform Mya I was running a bit late (5-10 mins), she made it sound on the phone that this was okay with her and her schedule.

Once I got there she had me fill out a form. Then she let me know I filled out the wrong form and had me fill out another. 20 minutes later she informed me that she did not have time to perform services on me (as I was late), but I would still be charged for her time.

The payment part was not the only/main issue (although that conduct is disgusting for someone in the customer service field). The issue was her attitude.

She did not smile, welcome me into her office or offer any advice. Instead, she violently reviewed my forms, rose her voice or sat coldly (unsure which was the most bizarre).

After I mentioned I was going to write about her conduct on yelp she said “Oh, I am definitely charging this card now” and swiped away. I have never experienced anything like this before in my life.

I felt threatened, scared and generally freaked out. My hopes are that her way of doing business will have her out of business someday soon.

Heartland Health Care Center-Grosse Pointe Woods

The facility is clean and smells good. The nurses are kind and attentive. The medical assistants were often unkind and rough. Heartland Health Care Center-Grosse Pointe Woods didn’t help my mother, who was debilitated on her right side from a stroke, with her meals.

A tray was simply put in front of her with nothing opened even though her dominant right hand was nonfunctional. She was often left unchanged from the day before even though my father made sure she had plenty of clean clothes for sleeping and her daytime activities.

The social worker did not provide assistance when asked and was often rude when she was asked for information. I would never recommend this facility. The hospital said many of their patients go there for their extended rehabilitation.

It was that recommendation that caused us to choose Heartland of Grosse Pointe. We were there every day with my mom and she was treated very poorly. I would never recommend this facility.

Pacific Money Exchange

Terrible customer service at Pacific Money Exchange, and very strange and confusing business model. Yesterday I stood in line behind 4 customers who exchanged yen for dollars.

When I got to the window and showed my HI state ID (to get the posted kamaaina discount) and asked to exchange dollars for yen I was curtly told that they were out of yen, and that I needed to make an appointment.

When I pointed out that the previous customers had just exchanged yen for dollars, the teller rudely interrupted me, waived a piece of paper with some scribbles in my face, and told me that maybe I should come back on Sunday

when it was likely they would have “extra” yen to exchange me. I know many people who have exchanged money here no problem and WITHOUT an “appointment”. Bottom line, there are plenty other places to exchange currency on-island and I suggest going elsewhere.

Lyntrel Smith Personal Trainrr is a Criminal

He has a domestic abuse protective order standing against him currently for abusing a coworker.  He cheated on my best friend, actually bringing the whore into their house.

He regularly hits in and sleeps with his coworkers.  He was fired from his job at Equinox in Los Angeles for obnoxious behavior towards female members.  He is not a real trainer but can’t get work as an educator because he had an inappropriate relationship with a young high school girl.

Allstate Insurance Agent: Maurice Brown

I had the worse road side experience not once but twice with this agency. They left me stranded 2 Times without a tow…..and when I called this office to be compensated in anyway they told me all they could give me was a $25 Walmart gift card that I still have yet to receive.

This is the worse insurance company I’ve ever had. When your with Allstate your definitely not in good hands!!!!!

Alcantara Driving School

I would give 0 stars if possible. My experience was a nightmare on the day of the test. They asked me to pay $100 in cash to rent a car for my road test. It was a third party car in horrible condition, to say the least.

The driver accompanying me was extremely rude and behaved inappropriately. He slapped my hand several times when I was trying to check certain controls before starting to drive, he even held my wrist for no reason.

He barely spoke any English and kept ridiculing me for not understanding what he was saying. The mirrors were stained and the dashboard had some soft drink spilled all over, there was trash spilled near the gear and the list goes on.

The worst part is, I left my learners to permit in his gearbox by mistake and when I called to get it, he denied to come back.

The next day I called the driving school and they said they have no accountability for any lost items and brazenly asked me to get a replacement from MVA.

When I told them what had happened, all I got was, “I’m sorry you had a bad customer experience” and the manager hung up on me after that. I would never recommend this school to anyone! Terrible experience!

My Three Sons Relocation Services

Though Nick was great with the estimate I called back and confirmed as well as paid the deposit. Rusty told me that all was confirmed and there would be no problem with picking up on the path of May and then unloading on the after 1 PM.

I get a call from them saying that either I had to unload in the morning of the or they would have to cancel my order.

I mean really, 2 days before this move and you are telling me that it can’t be done, The issue here is service. I built everything around what was confirmed and yet they can not stand by their word.

I explained yet again for the 3rd time that I couldn’t get into the new house until after closing which is at 11 am on the.

If I could give them a 0 I would. Moving is stressful enough without causing undue stress on someone, This was a very bad service, Rusty said that they had too many people moving that day,

Well let’s see, I paid my deposit and confirmed and yet you still are not able to comply with the estimate and promise that you made. Beware of the sweet words this company tells you because they are anything but helpful.

Von Paris Moving & Storage

Terrible. Dishonest and deceptive. If you want to risk using these movers, make sure that you get a guaranteed price. Otherwise, they will bait you in with a price they know is too low and will wait until it is moving day

when they have all your stuff in their truck before they give you the real price.  I moved cross country and, what with selling my home and moving my business, did not realize the contract they gave me was not binding.

I had a bid from another company for a price that turned out to be better (and honest) and Von Paris told me that the other company was ripping me off and that they would do it for less. I still feel guilty for not giving the other company my business.

(However, when I moved my offices, I did.) Anyway, after they had my stuff, Von Paris raised the price from $10k to $13k. I asked to speak to their “very experienced” estimator and they said he was unavailable and then said he no longer worked there. Bull.

This is just how they do business.  Do yourself a favor and find another mover.
