On August 27, 2020 I purchased a 2020 rogue SL AWD CVT, from Woodbridge Alta Nissan. On October 2, 2020, I mentioned to Alta Nissan that the GPS is not working properly as it is recognizing paved roods as unpaved roods, and the GPS is taking a long round-about route to get me to the selected location. Sometimes doubling the required km to go to the designation.
Their recommendation was to turn the “Recognize un-paved roods off”. This is poor customers’ relations and I’m really disappointed and shocked. No one wants to buy a brand-new vehicle with outdated software.
this is a brand-new vehicle with 30km on it, and I believe that the GPS system should be updated in order for the GPS system to correctly recognize all unpaved roads. After all, no one wants to go through un-paved roads with a new vehicle.
Please advise when I will be able to have this update done and correct the problem. As well, where should I go to have the problem corrected.
I’m disappointed and expected better, especially since I have been a loyal customer to Nissan since 1994. Since that time, I have brought seven Nissan vehicles, and all seven have always been purchased with extended warranties and always serviced by Nissan dealerships. Either at Woodbridge Nissan, Maple Nissan, or Guelph Nissan.
A prompt reply will be appreciated.
