I went to the VHC Urgent care on, because I could not determine if I was having heart issues or not. I had pain that radiated from the back to the front of my chest. After going to the Urgent care,

which I received excellent service — for precautionary reasons, I was sent to the ER for a complete work-up.

The nursing staff and techs were wonderful, but the young female doctor seemed aloof. I was grateful that my results were all negative for heart problems —

considering my history of diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. The reason for my visit was not resolved. I was discharged with an explanation to go to a cardiologist.

Even though I am happy with my results, I asked the young female ER physician could I have a prescription for the pain — which she said was possibly muscular. She sent the discharge nurse back to the room to tell me to take 600mg Ibuprofen.

No prescription, no concern for my obvious pain. The pain was strong enough to go to the hospital to spend a lot of money,

just to be treated as though I was a problem because my test was all negative…. Really??? A prescription for the 600 mg Ibuprofen would have been considerate.
