My family and I traveled from Johannesburg to welcome the New Year at the Wild Coast Sun.
The resort standards have dropped so badly it is shocking and very poor.
Walking through the 4th floor which is the main floor, the carpets are filthy, and stain marks clearly visible.
Previously whenever we visited, housekeeping checks & beds were dressed in the evenings, this does not happen any longer. There is no tissues in the bathrooms.
The toilet water continuously ran, we had to phone the first and 2nd day for a plumber. The 2nd call was attended to 2 hours later.
The TV remote was faulty, we were told they are in the process of changing remotes
so in the meantime, we struggle with channels.
We stayed 4 nights at the resort, received (1) coin chocolate that was placed on the pillow the night before check out.The other bed had none.
Its not a requirement, the question is what happens to all this stock that the resort pays for, where does it go to if not to the hotel resident that indirectly pays for it.
I approached Mr Matthews at the main desk as we checked out, and was told there
was supposed to be tissues in every room, he asked if I spoke to housekeeping, he was not interested in listening to my query.
