Woolworths Australia — bakery

I purchased a profiterole chocolate cake for $25 at the Woolies Sarina store for a birthday cake on the 16/1/20, had 1 small slice and it was awful so sickly sweet and gunky, did not enjoy this dessert at all, it is now in the garbage bin. Went for a quick shop yesterday, Sarina store are still selling these cakes for the same price. I would like a refund please unfortunately I did not keep the receipt as I thought this purchase would be ok. Regards John

Woolworths Australia — Deli section

Went to woolworths Greenfields 26th January 2020 at 14:31 went to buy some items from the deli sections three employees looked at me and ignored that I was there til I spoke to my mum who was with me saying how rude that they look and ignored me for a good 6mins not happy one lady rolled her eyes and stood staring at me no smile no communication skills said yeah … I asked for what I wanted she finally gave what I asked for pretty much thrown it onto the counter staring at my mum and I as we walked off
We are disgusted will be shopping else where if the service continues

Woolworths Australia — Woolworths 20 multipack chips

I bought a woolworths brand multi pack of chip on Sat 14/12/2019 at Clifford gardens Woolworths in QLD
I opened the bag today 16/12/2019 as my kids wanted to have some chips. both of my youngsters wanted the supreme corn chips, I opened 1 packet there was corn chips, opened the next pack no chips whatsoever, only a big pile of flavouring.
And there was only 3 packs of these supposed to be 5 packets.
I have taken photos of the packet nobody else touched it, and I don’t like corn chips so I wouldn’t have eaten it. I would really like to know is what can be done to replace or fix this situation.

Woolworths Australia — My hand bag Being searched my staff and security

At approximately 13:35 today Tuesday 17/12/2019 I had used the self service check out, I was walking out when I forgot to purchase a product from the kiosk, I was then approached by staff (3) and a security guard to empty my bags and produce a purchase receipt, this I did, I was yelled at by the security guard and told he wanted to look in my hand bag, I protested, the staff said I had to!!!
The security still insisted and wanted to look at a blue container, this contained my ready rolled smokes.
I was really upset at this as I was being treated like a criminal with shoppers staring.
I’am a 72 year old Aged Pensioner and use public transport to shop, I will not be going to Woolworths New Market again, this means i will have to travel a long distance in future to shop.

Woolworths Australia — Misleading advertising

Today I shopped at Woolworths Upper Coomera (Coomera West I believe it is called). At the end of an aisle they had morning fresh dishwashing liquid on sale for 1/2 price. They only had 2 types on the display, original and ultra (both had numerous boxes of product). Both had tags in front of them saying half price.

I picked up the original type. When I went to the checkout I was charged full price – I explained that it was marked half price and the girl had someone check it out for me. The young girl came back and said it was only the ultra that was on sale and that the original was put in the wrong place. She said the tag did state ‘ultra only’. If I wanted it I would have to pay full price – I declined.

This is the THIRD time I have picked up something I believed was marked at a sale price and been charged the full price at the checkout (once was potato chips and the other time was another cleaning product). Both times they had tags in front of the product, both times I queried the price and both times was told ‘sorry, someone must have placed the product in the wrong spot.

It is obvious to me that this store is deliberately using misleading advertising/display practices to entice people to pick up more expensive items, and if anyone DOES notice the price discrepancy at the checkout they trot out the excuse of human error.

This type of practice builds a strong dislike of the Woolworths name.

Woolworths Australia — safcol salmon pouch lemon and dill in springwater being deleted from woolworth’s shelves

Good Afternoon

Why on earth would you delete Safcol Premium Salmon Pieces Pouch with Lemon and Dill in Springwater from your shelves.
I have spent a number of days traveling to Woolworth stores within the Bankstown area and could only find the Safcol Salmon Pouch with Chilli.
What happens if a person is allergic to chilli?

Having phoned the distributor I was informed that Woolworths had deleted the product their shelves although it is still in production.
And they advised they had also received numerous inquires from other Woolworths customers questioning it’s disappearance from shelves.
The staff I spoke to at your Woolworths stores certainly thought it was still available.

I feel this is a very bad decision by Woolworths as many customers prefer the Salmon Pouch Lemon, Dill & Springwater version.
Also many in the Bushwalking community use these pouches, instead of cans, as a meal supplement when doing overnight walks to help with minimising carrying weight on long treks.

Just another popular product Woolworths have chosen to delete from their inventory for no good reason.

Woolworths Australia / Streets rainbow paddle pop 10 pack

The packaging of the Streets rainbow paddle pop 10 pack is deceptively similar to the packaging of Woolworths own brand choc top milk ice 10 pack.
Today at Sugarland Bundaberg, the Streets product was in the area that the Woolies product is normally shelved. I bought the Streets product thinking that it was Woolies and only realised when at home unpacking and openning the package to place in my freeze I saw the different individual item packaging. I then checked my sale receipt to find that the Streets 10 pack is double the price of the Woolies 10 pack. It may only be $3 or so, however it is infuriating.

Woolworths Australia / Fresh Food Packaging

Im disturbed at the overuse of packaging found in your stores for fresh food items, like tomatoes, capsicum, swedes etc, the list is long and varied. Can you explain why you have packaged everything with plastic containers then shrink wrap them? What is the point?? You are basically the biggest supermarket in Australia. You need to be far more responsible in how you offer your fresh food. I cringe at the thought of how much un-necessary plastic is thrown out and how this is impacting our enviornment. You have a corporate duty. You got rid of platic bags. Great!! Dont stop there. Start being responsible and reduce your plastic use across your supermarkets. I am considering taking my business elsewhere. It is just not worth it. Change or lose customers. Its simple.

Woolworths Australia / chicken and mushroom risotto

On Tuesday 21st May 2019, I purchased a chicken and mushroom risotto from the cleveland store in brisbane. As I was eating it i found a black small thing, it didn’t look like anything else in the risotto and i saw like black string like legs floating attached to it, I had taken it out thinking it was an insect of some sort, pictures attached is what I found when I took it out, it was soft but had, not sure if they are legs, antennas or hair! After I had found this not even a 1/4 through it I couldn’t eat the rest not very appetising, just thought I would let you know, not very happy, as I didnt have time to get something else for lunch as i only had 1/2hour, not a person to complain, but will not be buying this product again!
